Fertilizer
Your tree has to produce its own food, through a process, called Photosynthesis. This is a process, by which trees and plants, use the energy from the sunlight, to produce sugar, which cellular respiration converts into carbohydrates, in the form of sap. Fertilizing your trees and plants, provide a great supplement to your plants diet. A tree that maintains a well balanced diet, is healthier, which produces a more vigorous canopy, thus, producing more food for the plant through photosynthesis. A healthy tree or plant is naturally more resistant to storm damage, insects, bacterial infections, etc.
We provide various services for the fertilization (feeding) of your tree and plant needs.
Most common for a tree is deep-root feeding. Our trained personnel drills multiple holes, (determined by diameter of the tree) in the ground, under and around your tree's canopy. We place a custom blend of fertilizers (nitrogen, potassium, iron, magnesium, etc.) best suited for your particular tree. For plants and very young trees, a broadcast application would be applied.
We also offer vertical mulching for trees. This application consists of the same procedure, as deep-root feeding but, the product placed in the drilled holes, differs. With vertical mulching, fertilizer is applied, along with other products that provide, aeration, allowing an exchange of gases, between the root system and the surface, also, a product is mixed in to provide hydration, this product absorbs water, for the future use of the plants root system. (earlier methods of vertical mulching, actual mulch was used)
In some cases, usually in a extremely stressed tree, (often due to soil compaction) we inject a variety of nutrients and fertilizers directly into the trunk of the tree, into the tree's vascular
